Statistical Interpretation is imperative to statistical analysis and it primarily means making sense from data that has been collected and interpreting it from a statistical standpoint eventually help in achieving the study objectives.

Data Analysis and Interpretation

This section answers certain key questions that throw light on how statistical interpretation is conducted and addresses key issues pertaining to it.

I. Regression analysis imperative to interpret data?

Regression analysis is used in a scenario where a linear relationship between two or more variables needs to be established.

For example:

if for a vehicle you need to establish a linear relation between the fuel consumption and the power output, you can establish the relation using regression analysis. So it can be said that regression analysis is not imperative to interpret data, rather depends on the objective the research is trying to accomplish.

II. Linear regression to generate descriptive statistics?

Descriptive statistics aims to summarize and organize a collection of information or data while linear regression aims to create a relation between one dependent variable to one or more independent variable.
